In urban areas it may reach 40% in adults…
There will be several millions of AIDS orphans.
Our economy will not be able to face such a crisis.

Soweto, with its population of 3 to 5 millions people represents a challenge for AIDS and HIV care.
In Soweto 42% of the population is young, unemployed, illiterate and lives in promiscuity.

White City Jabavu Clinic is one of the 14 primary care centres in Soweto and is the pilot site of the Vusabantu AIDS project.
The project will then be extended to other regions in Johannesburg.
